Plasmage® Precision Fractional Plasma

Blepharoplasty (eye-lift surgery) and skin resurfacing are two of the most common procedures in facial esthetics. Patients love the results but don’t love the long downtime of surgery and CO2 laser treatment. Plasmage provides a nonsurgical alternative to these procedures while greatly reducing downtime.

FAQs

What is Plasmage®?

Plasmge is the first FDA-cleared energy device to harness plasma energy. Plasma is delivered through a small probe without direct contact with the skin by ionizing ambient gas in the air. This energy creates precise micro-injuries that cause a rapid healing process to treat wrinkles, and crepey skin and eliminate many dermatologic blemishes.

What areas can be treated with Plasmage®?

Plasmage can treat a variety of areas, including crow’s feet, marionette lines, necklines, and loose skin on the eyelids, face, and neck. One of my favorite things about Plasmage is that it can treat wrinkles that are resistant to Botox and fillers. We also love using Plsamage to provide a nonsurgical blepharoplasty to tighten loose skin on and above the eyelid!

Is the treatment comfortable?

Most patients tolerate the discomfort of treatment well with the use of topical anesthetic. However, for patients wanting more pain control, an injectable local anesthetic can be used to fully numb the tissue before treatment.

Is there downtime with Plasmage®?

After the treatment, patients may experience some redness, swelling, and minor scabbing, which typically resolves in less than a week.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients see excellent results after just one treatment, while others may require a total of 2-3 treatments for optimal results. We will make a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
